These clients were very upset when a huge oak tree fell on the roof of their existing garage. Uninspired by their options, they fought the insurance company for the right to choose their own contractor. They sought out Laneway Custom Build, entrusting us to rebuild the garage exactly as it was before. In particular, they wanted us to recreate all the old exterior details as well as the open concept roof framed with painted white rafters. We improved on that request by recommending a way of framing the ceiling ties in a manner that would maximize the open feeling the client wanted. As an added bonus, we were asked to follow through with their dream of a Solar EV Charger capable of harnessing the sun’s energy and dumping it directly into the car with surpluses being fed back to the grid.
