We are Toronto-based team of construction professionals specializing in laneway builds.

We love working in Toronto neighbourhoods, and when it became clear that the city was making laneway construction possible, we realized how well positioned we were to help families maximize their living space. As parents and home-owners, we know what it’s like to have to adapt to a quickly expanding family, and rather than play the real estate game, it makes more sense to build on an existing property.

We also understand the need for expert craftsmanship on budget. We get it. And we love it. Because, personally, we think building things in the laneway is pretty cool. Let us share our enthusiasm, experience and knowledge with you!

  • Lead Hand / Site Supervisor

With a college education in heritage carpentry, and more than a decade of experience building and renovating homes in downtown Toronto, Dale is enjoying the opportunity to focus largely on laneway housing with Laneway Custom Build. Although his priority for many years was being on the tools, he has learned building relationships is just as important. From co workers to sub contractors, clients to neighbors, he tries to facilitate a cheerful and open atmosphere during all stages of construction. When not at work he’s hopefully out camping, but more likely working on fixing parts of his kit.
